Resource Allocation Schemes Based on Intelligent Optimization Algorithms for D2D Communications Underlaying Cellular Networks

Abstract: In this paper, the resource allocation problem for device-to-device (D2D) communications underlaying cellular networks is formulated and analyzed. In our scenario, we consider that the number of D2D user equipment (DUE) pairs is far larger than that of cellular user equipments (CUEs). Meanwhile, the resource blocks are divided into two types: resource blocks for CUEs and the ones for CUEs and DUEs. Firstly, the system model is presented, and the resource allocation problem is formulated. en, a resource allocat… Show more

“…In ref. [57], the authors propose a power control and resource allocation scheme aiming to maximise the minimum achieved data rate by D2D communications. In this scheme, the fairness problem in single‐rate multicast communications is formulated as a maximum and minimum problem.…”

“…To establish the performance of the proposed scheme, GA is applied for resource allocation, compared to refined PSO. Belleschi et al, 23 Li et al, 24 and Li et al 25 used heuristic algorithms to solve the resource allocation problem. Indeed, Belleschi et al 23 were interested in the resource allocation problem in Orthogonal Frequency‐Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) systems.…”
