We study resonant CP-violating Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen correlations that may take place in the production and decay of unstable scalar particles at high-energy colliders. We show that as a consequence of unitarity and CPT invariance of the S-matrix, in 2 → 2 scatterings mediated by mixed scalar particles, at least three linearly independent decay matrices associated with the unstable scalar states are needed to obtain non-zero CP-odd observables that are also odd under C-conjugation. Instead, for the correlated production and decay of two unstable particle systems in 2 → 4 processes, we find that only two independent decay matrices are sufficient to induce a net non-vanishing CP-violating phenomenon. As an application of this theorem, we present numerical estimates of CP asymmetries for the correlated production and decay of supersymmetric scalar top-antitop pairs at the LHC, and demonstrate that these could reach values of order one. As a byproduct of our analysis, we develop a novel spinorial trace technique, which enables us to efficiently evaluate lengthy expressions of squared amplitudes describing the resonant scalar transitions.

We study the implications of a successful leptogenesis within the framework of Minimal Lepton Flavour Violation combined with radiative resonant leptogenesis and the PMNS matrix being the only source of CP violation, which can be obtained provided flavour effects are taken into account. We find that the right amount of the baryon asymmetry of the universe can be generated under the conditions of a normal hierarchy of the light neutrino masses, a non-vanishing Majorana phase, sin (θ 13 ) 0.13 and m ν,lightest 0.04 eV. If this is fulfilled, we find strong correlations among ratios of charged LFV processes. PreliminariesLeptogenesis offers the possibility to accommodate the observed matter-antimatter asymmetry of the universe. While the common belief in the past years was that distinguishing flavours in the Boltzmann equations is not necessary, it turned out recently [1][2][3][4][5][6][7] that flavour effects can be relevant for the generation of the baryon asymmetry of the universe (BAU).For a long time, the common belief was that leptonic low-energy CP violation does not automatically imply a non-vanishing BAU through leptogenesis. This however does not universally hold when ranges of the Majorana scale are considered in which flavour effects play a role [4,[7][8][9][10]. These analyses were performed for hierarchical [8][9][10], for two quasi-degenerate [9] and for three quasi-degenerate heavy right-handed Majorana neutrinos [7]. In the present paper, we show that within the framework of Minimal Lepton Flavour Violation (MLFV) with three heavy right-handed Majorana neutrinos and the BAU generated by radiative resonant leptogenesis (RRL) [7], clear conditions for a successful leptogenesis have to be fulfilled.
