Resolving the Shortcomings of Human Centered Design in Transcultural Communication

Abstract: The reach and impact of economies and societies is increasingly global thanks to improved communication systems and technological development. However, rarely is consideration given to the nuances of communication expectations across cultural groups. This shortcoming can negatively impact user design. For humancentered design to be effective, it must consider the perspectives of its audience and their varying attitudes regarding what makes communication effective.
