“…Glucocorticoids functions as anti-inflammatory agents in treating many diseases, including cancers, and it helps manage various side effects of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and immunotherapy. Recently, Geng et al 19 constructed a nanosystem for increasing drug penetration in solid cancers. The nanosystem consisted of tannic acid, carrier ZIF-8, encapsulated glucose oxidase, and dexamethasone.…”

“…The loaded dexamethasone expanded the pores of the nucleus to promote glucose oxidase entering the nucleus, solving the shortcomings of the short life of reactive oxygen species, but it also inhibited the production of collagen, to reshape the tumor microenvironment and inhibit cancer cell metastasis. Because dexamethasone can enlarge the nuclear pores and promote the entry of drugs into the nucleus, using dexamethasone could be useful in clinical applications 19 . Martin et al 20 studied the effect of dexamethasone on normalizing the tumor microenvironment in a metastatic murine breast cancer model.…”

“…[4b, 14] Recently, due to the high catalytic efficiency against b-D-glucose and adequate glucose supply, glucose oxidase (GOx) is recognized as an excellent H 2 O 2 producer as anatural oxidoreductase in vivo. [15] Considerable efforts have been made to co-deliver GOx and nanozyme/Fenton-reaction agents,s uch as GOx@-ZIF and Co-Fc@GOx, in cancer treatment. [16] Thec onsumption of intratumoral glucose by GOx catalysis led to an in situ elevation of H 2 O 2 level, subsequently the generated H 2 O 2 was converted into COH through catalysis,r esulting in high reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation.…”

“…Use of new nanocarriers allows for the design of secure and efficient multifunctional nanoplatforms for accurate drug delivery and effective cancer treatment. As a new metal-organic framework (MOF), ZIF-8 has good drug delivery properties and biocompatibility (17)(18)(19)(20)(21). Compared to other metal-organic framework (MOF) materials (22)(23)(24)(25)(26), ZIF-8 has several unique characteristics.…”
