Research Trend of Publications Concerning Antibody-Drug Conjugate in Solid Cancer: A Bibliometric Study

Abstract: Background: Antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) is a promising therapy for solid cancer that has raised global concern. Although several papers have reviewed the current state of ADCs in different solid cancers, a quantitative analysis of the publications in this field is scarce. Methods: Publications related to ADC in the field of solid cancer were obtained from the Web of Science Core Collection. “…The concept of ADCs, also known as the “magic bullet” was first proposed by Paul Ehrlich in 1907, yet they were first used in clinical trials only in the 1980s [ 1 ]. The intensity of ADC research has been steadily increasing over the past decade [ 2 ]. Notably, most ADCs are approved for hematological malignancies, and progress in solid tumor ADCs differs from that in hematological malignancies.…”

“…In bibliometric analysis, the literature is identified, developmental trends are clarified both objectively and visibly, the current status is determined, and the future development of the field is predicted ( 12 ). Bibliometrics is widely used in oncology, ophthalmology, complementary medicine, alternative medicine, and other interdisciplinary fields of medicine ( 13 , 14 ). However, bibliometric studies on H. pylori -related GU are still absent.…”
