Research Report: Using a Database Management System to Support Qualitative Research

Abstract

As part of a major research project into the use of microcomputers in high-school classrooms, our research team elected to use a multifaceted, qualitative approach to data gathering and analysis. In order to facilitate this approach, we decided to build a large-scale computerized textual database.
