Research Progress on the Pathogenesis of Type 2 Diabetes-Related Osteoporosis

Abstract

Diabetes is a common chronic disease that can lead to related complications such as osteoporosis. Currently, there is a significant amount of research on the pathogenesis of diabetes-related osteoporosis, focusing on aspects such as high blood sugar, oxidative stress response, changes in cytokines and hormones, etc. The pathogenesis of diabetes is complex and diverse. It is of great significance to have a deeper understanding of its pathogenesis, clarify the relationship between diabetes and osteoporosis, and prevent and treat this disease. This article reviews the latest research findings on the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes-related osteoporosis at home and abroad, aiming to provide reference for subsequent research and clinical practice.
