Internet of things technology began to spread to all industries of our lives; the application of medical internet of things in many hospitals highlighted its advantages and brought a lot of convenience to patients and medical staff. With the continuous progress of China’s medical reform and the continuous improvement of patients’ requirements for medical service quality, this paper discusses the application of medical internet of things in clinical nursing in ward, and the basic information collection, infusion, and mobile nursing were discussed and studied. Through the parallel control study of the laboratory itself, this paper evaluates whether the two different clinical measurement methods of medical internet of things technology and traditional technology are consistent in body temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood oxygen saturation. At the same time, it also deeply studies the value and advantages of internet of things technology in the application of other monitoring indicators in clinical nursing and analyses the problems in its application. The experimental data show that the two measurement methods with different principles can be completely replaced in clinical application, and the time efficiency of the new clinical nursing method under the medical internet of things technology in mapping body temperature, pulse, and respiration has been improved by 76.20% and 72.02%, respectively, surpassing the traditional information technology and realizing the intelligent, automatic, and standardized data acquisition method. It ensures the authenticity of data and the real-time of information flow and meets the needs of resource sharing and medical regional interconnection.

Numerous studies indicate that long-term cancer treatment can significantly stress patients, adversely affecting both their emotional well-being and unaddressed spiritual needs. Despite this, there is a notable lack of research aimed at enhancing the spiritual well-being of these patients. Most studies that do touch on spiritual needs tend to be narrow in scope, focusing only on specific influencing factors. The spiritual needs of colorectal cancer patients in the postoperative rehabilitation phase are particularly under-researched. This study aims to identify the spiritual needs of colorectal cancer patients and to analyze the factors that influence these needs. We utilized Generalized Structural Equation Modeling to investigate the interrelationships between psychological resilience, social support, spiritual health, anxiety, depression, and spiritual needs. Additionally, the study delves into the potential mediating roles of psychological resilience, social support, anxiety, depression, and spiritual health in the relationship between selected risk factors and observed variables. In this research, we surveyed1,200 colorectal cancer patients using a range of scales, including the Psychological Resilience Scale (CD-RISC), the Perceived Social Support Scale (PSS), the Spiritual Wellness Scale (FACIT-Sp-12), the Hospital Depression and Anxiety Scale(HADS), and the Spiritual Needs Scale (SNS). We analyzed the data using SPSS 21.0 and AMOS 24.0software. The results indicate that the model is well-fitted, as confirmed by the goodness-of-fit indices (χ2/df = 2.921, TLI = 0.987, CFI = 0.997, NFI = 0.996, RMSEA = 0.046). The findings obtained highlight the critical need to address the spiritual well-being of Chinese colorectal cancer patients, which continues to be a significant health challenge. Factors such as social support, psychological resilience, spiritual health, anxiety, and depression have both direct and indirect impacts on these needs. As such, healthcare providers and family membersshould consider these factors when offering psychological and social support. This will enable them to provide morecomprehensive spiritual care, thereby enhancing the patients' overall quality of life.

Introduction: Improving pathophysiology knowledge and critical thinking skills of nursing students remains as a challenge faced by nursing educators. Thus, an innovative learning method is required. Concept map by adding cases might assist increasing students’ pathophysiology knowledge and critical thinking skills. Methods: A quasi-experimental study with pre- and post-test with control group design involved 104 first-year nursing students of Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto, Central Java in April-June 2023. Participants were divided into two classes at the beginning of the first semester and randomly allocated into the intervention (54 respondents) and the control (50 respondents) group. The intervention group was provided typical learning added with a case-based concept map development weekly for 7 weeks, while the control group underwent regular lectures based on the syllabus. Pathophysiology knowledge was measured by using Multiple Choice Questions, while critical thinking was evaluated by using the Critical Thinking Disposition Inventory questionnaire. Independent-t test and paired test were applied to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing the case-based concept map. Results: The mean score for knowledge the pathophysiology of the disease in the intervention group was significantly higher than the those in the control group (t=5.24, p=0.000). However, there was no difference in the average scores of critical thinking between two groups discovered in the study (t=0.90, p=0.37). Conclusions: Case-based concept map can be recommended as an innovative and effective learning method for teaching disease pathophysiology to nursing students. However, the case-based concept map in this study is still not consistent in improving students' critical thinking skills.
