Research on the vibration characteristics of the commercial-vehicle cabin based on experimental design and genetic algorithm

Abstract: Most of the published researches on the vibration isolation performance of the commercial vehicle focus on the suspension system and the power-train system, and few of them focus on the cabin. Moreover, the researches on the cabin mostly focus on how to reduce the interior noise, and the interior vibration characteristics have not received adequate attention. Therefore, this paper tries to research the vibration characteristics of the commercial-vehicle cabin in order to improve ride comfort. Firstly, the vibr… Show more

“…The main purpose of selection operation is to avoid gene deletion, improve global convergence, and computational efficiency. Generally speaking, the selection operator can be divided into three types: the selection based on the fitness ratio, the selection based on the adaptive value sorting, and the selection based on the individual competition [15].…”

“…The articles (Wang et al, 2016) attempt to study the vibration characteristics of the truck cabin to improve the driving comfort. A dynamic model of a rigid-flexible coupling of a commercial vehicle is proposed to calculate the contribution of various sources to cabin vibration.…”

“…Therefore, in this paper, we proposed a method combined with a power spectral density (PSD) approach, which allowed us to solve a substitute dynamic problem in the frequency domain that identified a solution to the initial problem in the time domain. The PSD approach is a method that allows for simplification of the problem and is used effectively in many branches of mechanical engineering, including the automotive industry [ 20 ], aerospace [ 21 ], mechanics and machine construction [ 22 ], and biomedical engineering [ 23 ].…”
