Research on the Strength of Green Hydroxyapatite Coating Obtained by Electrophoretic Deposition

Abstract: Coating hydroxyapatite (HA) onto matrix materials is a promising technique. The firm level of green coating is very important to the further sintering treatment. In this paper the HA powders with different ripening time were synthesized by precipitation process using (NH4)3PO4and Ca(NO3)2at room temperature. The influence of ripening time and the kind of dispersion medium on the strength of green HA coatings was studied by means of coating HA onto pyrolytic carbon via electrophoretic deposition (EPD). The resu… Show more

“…Owing to facing an increasing shortage of fossil resources, these routes will be substituted by others in the near future. In recent years, bulk chemicals have been obtained from a sustainable biomass route, and for instance, acrolein from glycerol, acrylic acid from glycerol or lactic acid (LA), and n-butanol from ethanol. To some degree, these investigations have further indicated that it is a promising way for production of bulk chemicals depending on biomass resources. Acetaldehyde is also obtained from a biomass route.…”
