Research on the bionic design of the middle trough of a scraper conveyor based on the finite element method

Abstract: Working life of the middle trough is an important indicator of the scraper conveyor. Improving the wear resistance of the middle trough can effectively prolong the service life. Based on the nonsmooth wear-resistant theory, the bionic optimization of the middle trough was carried out by designing the pits on the surface of the middle plate. The orthogonal test design of L9 (34) four factors and three levels was used. The structural static analysis and frictional contact analysis of the original middle trough s… Show more

“…The connection mode of the middle chute can be simplified as a hinge joint, which forms a connection that can rotate in both horizontal and vertical directions. Each middle chute is connected with the hydraulic support's pushing mechanism to realize the scraper conveyor's lateral movement [23,24].…”

“…Found in many shells of gastropods and bivalves, nacre is composed of ~95% aragonite and ~5% protein and polysaccharide polymers [11][12][13][14] . Its formation starts with an ordered layered framework composed of a small amount of insoluble chitin bers and proteins.…”
