This article has conducted an in-depth study on the design of the CAN dual-port bridge. First, according to the characteristics of the CAN bus extended identifier and the bridge address requirements, the data forwarding address table is constructed using the extended identifier, and then the problem of reasonable allocation of network segments is proposed. The network segment node bit allocation algorithm of network segment priority and node priority is analyzed, and the bit utilization rate is evaluated; Secondly, it analyzes the learning algorithm of the two-dimensional array forwarding address table, and proposes a bridge port spanning tree algorithm for unidirectional generation of forwarding routes for the bridge ring network. Finally, the network bridge design method proposed in this paper is verified through experiments on the utilization and delay of the network bridge under different loads, which can complete the function of the CAN network bridge.
