Research on Semantic Text Mining Based on Domain Ontology

Abstract: International audienceText mining is an effective means of detecting potentially useful knowledge from large text documents. However conventional text mining technology cannot achieve high accuracy, because it cannot effectively make use of the semantic information of the text. Ontology provides theoretical basis and technical support for semantic information representation and organization. This paper improves the traditional text mining technology which cannot understand the text semantics. The author discus… Show more

“…In the recent debates, text mining definition and algorithms involved in its implementation has been equivocally discussed (Hudaefi et al , 2021; Hudaefi and Badeges, 2021; Jiang et al , 2013; Villarroel Ordenes and Zhang, 2019). However, it has been understood as a specialised form of data mining to extract information and discover knowledge from vast amounts of unstructured textual data (Cheerkoot-Jalim and Khedo, 2020; Jiang et al , 2014; Justicia De La Torre et al , 2018; Usai et al , 2018).…”

“…the terms "Realism", "author", "Russian"). While other text mining approaches rely on the analysis of domain knowledge (Jiang, Zhang, Yang, & Xie, 2012) or relevant morph syntactic patterns (Shekar & Shoba, 2009) to extract terms in the mining process, here we used a simpler method that is based on the frequency with which words and compound terms appear in the text. The method relies on a parameter n to extract the compound terms with more than one word.…”

“…Other approaches have been taken in these hard-to classify domains. There have been studies on the incorporation of domain knowledge by the selection and creation of cross-referencing query (Zhang et al, 2012), and domain documents (Dinh & Tamine, 2012), or reweighing of features using related information such as ontologies (Jiang et al, 2013) or user feedback (Ivanov et al, 2012). Domain knowledge has also been incorporated into text classifiers by modification of the classifiers to include prior results (Zheng et al, 2012).…”
