Research on Rheological Properties of High‐Percentage Artificial RAP Binder with WMA Additives

Abstract: With the development of pavement recycling technology, the requirement of reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) is substantially increasing. Warm-mix recycled asphalt (WMRA) technology has made great progress, which can effectively decrease the working temperature and improve the RAP content. In this study, the rheological properties of recycled binders with incorporation of high-percentage artificial RAP binder (30–70%) were evaluated using two types of warm-mix asphalt (WMA) additives, i.e., polyethylene wax R an… Show more

Determination of medium temperature zone of road asphalt 3.1 Critical range of medium temperature zone of road asphalt based on penetration index As a temperature sensitive material, the relevant indexes of viscoelastic properties of asphalt will change accordingly with the change of temperature (Wang et al, 2017(Wang et al, , 2020. The Superpave user manual describes that the pavement temperature of asphalt pavement in the actual use process can reach more than 80 8C, that is, the actual pavement temperature is much higher than the air temperature, and there is a certain conversion relationship between the two.…”
