Research on Dynamic and Mechanical Properties of Magnetoactive Elastomers with High Permeability Magnetic Filling Agent at Complex Magneto-Temperature Exposure

Abstract: We consider magnetically active elastomer as a potentially applicable material for manufacturing a working channel of a magnetic pump unit. During the study, the samples were exposed to a magnetic field, a temperature field, and their combination to assess the change in the elastic-strength properties of the final material. For the preparation of samples, high permeability magnetic fillers of various sizes were used in the concentration range of 50–70%. Samples were made with an isotropic and an anisotropic st… Show more

“…The agglomeration of magnetite nanoparticles can appear as an effect of spontaneous magnetization [52] and also by the agglomeration of nanoparticles due to the action of the forces of electrostatic interaction of particles [53]. The movement of the formed assemblies through the microfibers of the fabric is slowed down.…”

“…In order to describe the mechanisms that contributed to the observed phenomena, we considered the idealized model from Figure 11 . According to this model, magnetite nanoparticles have spontaneous magnetization [ 31 ] and become electrically charged by friction [ 32 ], which will cause agglomeration and micro-ball (NS) formation in the GB fabric. We assumed that the NSs had the same diameter and were uniformly distributed in the fabric.…”

“…The basis for the behavior of the new property was established with the classification of substances as conductors or insulators and the establishment of the electrical flow direction from positive to negative. Because they are outside and exposed to the elements, power lines and cables reinforced in the upper portion of transmission line support for the protection of wires from atmospheric overvoltages and direct lightning strikes [23][24][25][26][27] must function under challenging circumstances. Several meteorological events (wind, rain, ice, and temperature variations) and chemical contaminants in the air [28][29][30][31][32][33].…”
