There are complexity and cascading failure in ship fire-fighting system. According to the characteristics of ships,set pair analysis is used from overall system to subsystems.This paper analyzes the failure factors and establishes a cascading failure hierarchy correlative model of this fire-fighting system . Considering occurrence uncertainty such as fuzzy state ,random state and medium state of the failure factors ,this paper introduces how to solve a correlation degree of this system cascading failure based on set pair analysis in detail,and objectively measures the cascading failure probability and the reliability of this ship fire-fighting system. Cabins are seen as subsystems. Failure structure model of NO.3 watertight area is builded.Failure connection includes failure identity, failure discrepant,and failure contrary with set pairs.It determines two adjacent fire-fighting subsystems of cabins that failure connection is compact. This research shows the validity of set pair analysis in cascading failure analysis of ship fire-fighting system.
