Research on Bandwidth of 1-3-2 Piezoelectric Composite with Multi-Mode

Abstract: This paper is concerned with the design of a new wideband 1-3-2 piezoelectric composite with multi-mode. The equivalent parameters of 1-3-2 piezoelectric composite with multi-mode are derived from series-parallel theory and uniform field theory. By using numerical calculation, the law of bandwidth varying with the cutting depth is obtained and compared with experiments. The computations show agreement with the experimental results. The results prove that the new wideband 1-3-2 piezoelectric composite with mult… Show more

“…To increase the transmit voltage response, it is only necessary to increase the radiation area of the transducer, and according to the 1/4 odd times wavelength theory [5], adding a matching layer to the transducer can make the acoustic impedance more compatible with the medium [6], which ensures the maximum transmission of acoustic energy and improves the transmitting performance. For the receiving transducer, the main performance is to improve the receiving sensitivity, which is related to the effective electromechanical coupling coefficient [7][8][9], and improving the electromechanical coupling coefficient can improve the receiving sensitivity.…”
