This article reviews a novel poly-generation system based on a solar power tower for power generation, cooling capacity, freshwater creation, and hydrogen production. Comprehensive thermodynamic assessments are conducted to determine the performance of the proposed model. At basic operating circumstances, the simulation results in the generation of 7.871 MW of electricity, 10.05 kg/s of drinking water, 8.788 MW cooling capacity, and hydrogen at a rate of 0.2445 kg/h accompanied by 41.18% energy efficiency and a sum unit cost of products of 6.583 $/GJ. Then, parametric research is going to determine the influence of the proposed system's primary parameters on its performance.Additionally, the gray wolf optimization technique is used to optimize the exergetic efficiency with sum unit cost products and freshwater rate of production under various multi-objective optimization situations. The first optimization scenario's results indicate that the 53.06% exergetic efficiency and 5.44 $/GJ sum unit cost products are the optimum point, and in the second optimization scenario, the optimum point is 47.64% exergetic efficiency and 9.61 kg/s freshwater production rate. Finally, the performance of the suggested method is demonstrated using a case study of New York, United States of America, and represented the maximum performance in July with 5.2 MW net power and 39.6% exergetic efficiency.

Recently power crises are increasing day by day in Pakistan due to shortage of energy resources. The financial position of Pakistan is too weak and not in position to install new power projects for the production of electrical power to meet the demand as per requirement. So every consumer is trying to install the power producing devices to meet the demand inorder to run their institutional laboratories, offices, commercial plants and industrial machines. The generator is also one of the power producer device to meet the consumers demand to supply the electrical power to the load in absence of failure of power supply from utility company. A single large unit is very expensive to run the small loads and consume large amount of fuel, so parallel connection of two small generators is very beneficial to meet the demand as per requirement, result in cost saving, and less fuel consumption. QUEST Campus Larkana has installed two 50KVA generators in parallel to supply the required power to the load in absence of power supply to run their offices, workshops and laboratories, this minimize the cost, and increase the reliability of the system. The MATLAB simulation model is developed to analyze the performance of single unit generator and parallel connected generators.

Energy is the key mover for any country’s development. In today’s era, the demand for energy is rapidly increasing and the cost of power is also increasing due to the lack of fossil fuels (coal, gas, and oil). To overcome the increasing demand and worst crises of non-renewable energy resources, the present solution is to move towards renewable energy. Sindh is a province of Pakistan that has the immense capability and prospect of neat and green energy production. The major locations for renewable energy resources are found in the city of Jhimpir, for wind power, in the district of Thatta, Sindh. Wind power generation is clean, eco-friendly, and easily maintainable. Different power companies are intensively taking part in investments to enhance wind generation and overcome the shortage of power in Pakistan. One of the quick promoting renewable energy is wind energy which is founded on freely available natural resources, in Jhimpir Sindh. This study aims to initiate the wind power analysis, total generating capacity, present scenario, and for wind energy present at different sites in Thatta Jhimpir. The comparison between daily data with six-hour data is carried out through statistical analysis at 10m to calculate the wind speed and direction. The private company has carried out the survey to measure the wind speed and compared data from the analysis, reanalysis,and forecast datasets. The geographical location where the mast was installed is 25.1330 N and 67.9950 E. The mast consists of five anemometers for wind speed measurement such as 85m, 60m, 30m, and 10m, and two wind vanes of 83.5m, and 28.5m for measurement of wind direction. The three years of data were used to evaluate the wind data from the datasets for this study. The researchers evaluated the NCEP-NCAR data in the Gharo region using the WRF simulated model at the height of 10m and 30m. In this study, we have analyzed the five datasets NCEP-NCAR, 20C, CFSR, GFS, and NCEP-FNL to measure the wind data at the height of 10m.
