Research on achromatic Risley prism in normal tracing angle measurement system

Abstract: .The normal tracing angle measurement system based on Risley prisms can eliminate the influence of aberrations other than the dispersion of Risley prisms on the angle measurement accuracy. Although the traditional dispersion optimization method based on the extreme point can make the beam directions of different wavelengths more consistent after passing through the Risley prisms, the light intensity distribution that deviates from the extreme point wavelength causes the spot centroid to deviate from the target… Show more

“…In order to eliminate the influence of many errors in the system and realize the simultaneous improvement of angle measurement range, accuracy and working distance, based on Risley prisms(RPs) and normal tracing method [12][13][14] , we propose the Normal Tracing -Risley prisms (NTRP) 14 angle measurement system. The core of NTRP system to eliminate the systematic error is the "normal tracing method".…”

“…The chromatic aberrations caused by Risley prisms have been intensively investigated by many researchers. By designing diffractive optics or gluing prism materials with different refractive coefficients and dispersion parameters, the imaging chromatic aberrations can be effectively corrected [24][25][26].…”
