Research on a new Tm3+-doped NaCa3Bi(PO4)3F blue-emitting phosphor for w-LEDs

Abstract: Tm 3+ doped NaCa 3 Bi(PO 4 ) 3 F blue-emitting phosphors have been synthesized following a conventional high-temperature solid-state reaction. Their phase purity, optical characteristics were systematically studied. The results show that the optimal doping concentration of Tm 3+ was 0.05. Electric multipole interaction was proposed as the mechanism for concentration quenching in NaCa 3 Bi(PO 4 ) 3 F materials.
