Research on a Multinode Joint Vibration Control Strategy for Controlling the Steering Wheel of a Commercial Vehicle

Abstract: The vibration degree of a steering wheel has important reference significance for drivers to evaluate the ride comfort of the whole vehicle. To solve the jitter problem of the steering wheel of a commercial vehicle at idle speed, this work proposes a multinode joint vibration control strategy (MDVC) based on the associated vibration path of the steering wheel. Based on the analysis of the associated vibration transfer paths of the steering wheel, the whole vehicle was divided into a system comprising several n… Show more

“…I-kaz Vibro was used to analyse vehicle speed and data dispersion to determine HAV levels. Driver's HAV analysed using I-Kaz Vibro coefficient (Zv), display, and daily vibration exposure A (8). More scattering on I-Kaz Vibro displays Zv and A(8) are rising.…”

“…Considering the coupling effect of the multi-source vibration transfer paths, He et al [19] introduced a multi-point iterative analysis method to reduce the total vibration of the steering wheel at idle speed. To solve the vibration problem of an automotive steering wheel under idling condition, Tang et al [20] proposed a multi-node joint vibration control strategy on the basis of the associated vibration path of the steering wheel.…”
