Research of Effect of Angle of Bank on Radar Signals Under Monopulse Mode of Aircraft Radar

Abstract

Ensuring the safety of low‑altitude flight is one of the most important tasks of modern aviation. One of the possible ways to solve this problem is to estimate the terrain in an elevation plane. Processing radar signals in a monopulse mode of operation of radar with an elliptical‑shaped antenna system for solving problems of locating extended moving objects and an elevation estimate of the terrain in a maneuvering aircraft has several features, so one of the important tasks is to estimate the degree of signal distortion depending on from roll angle. In this regard, criteria have been developed, mathematical modeling and research have been carried out, which makes it possible to qualitatively and quantitatively assess the degree of influence of the angle of heel of an aircraft on the change in the radar signal, which makes it possible to develop algorithms for correcting the quadrature components of the radar signal.
