Research for method of homogeneous area partition for marine resource assets inventory based on adaptable triangular grid

Abstract

The partition of homogeneous area is an important part of marine resource assets inventory accounting. Marine functional regionalization was formerly used to divide homogeneous area as base map, but the results were not exactly precise, in which the current utilization status, ecological conditions, marine planning and others were not considered. A method based on adaptable triangular grid was proposed in our study to derive more precise marine homogeneous areas. A comparative analysis was made between calculation results and the marine functional regionalization, offshore wind power planning and sea aquaculture planning. Obviously, the new method was more practical and reasonable. It is expected that our study can provide new ideas and references for marine resource asset management.
