Industry 4.0 refers to the new technological development occurred at the industrial production systems. It evolved as a result of integrating Internet of Things, Cyber-Physical Systems, Big-Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Cloud Computing in the industrial systems. This integration aided new capabilities to achieve a higher level of business excellence, efficiency, and effectiveness. Total Quality Management (TQM) is a managerial approach to achieve an outstanding business excellence. There are several approaches to apply TQM principles at any organization. Industry 4.0 could be utilized as a key enabler for TQM especially by integrating its techniques with the TQM best practices. This paper suggests a theoretical framework for integrating Industry 4.0 features with the TQM principles (according to ISO 9000:2015 standards family) in order to open the door for further research to address the real impact of utilizing Industry 4.0 for serving the TQM implementation approaches.

In this era of technology advancement and industrial modernization, the concepts introduced by the German promised a great benefits and widely unexplored opportunities for application in industries. Industry 4.0 concept is one of the heavily discussed topics for academic researcher and practitioners. In this era of consumerism, manufacturing industries are required to manufactured products and services of the highest quality in order to retain competitiveness in the consumers market. The concepts of Smart Factory, Cyber-Physical System as well as Internet of Things and Services offers very capable opportunities and also downside challenges for quality management in manufacturing sectors. Thus, this paper present and discussed the opportunities and challenges in implementation of Industry 4.0 for quality management which triggered by a practical insight of an electronic production and service company in Austria. The findings of the recent study challenges are formed by the three key characteristics of Industry 4.0 which are horizontal, vertical and end-to-end manufacturing integration.

The fourth industrial revolution, known as Industry 4.0, has tendency to push the boundaries of science and technology. This is especially true for the manufacturing industry. One of the biggest challenges facing the manufacturing industry today is how to make intelligent systems for production with "self-aware", "self-predict and "self-maintain" abilities. Predictive manufacturing systems (PMS) are new intelligent systems that provide these abilities in the production, processes and machines. The PMS combines different technologies and techniques: statistics, data mining, modelling and artificial intelligence methods. These technologies and techniques are used to convert data into information and make predictions about the observed system. This paper provides an overview of the various challenges, existing solutions and benefits of PMS, with a focus on success factors in Industry 4.0.
