Abstract: BackgroundUrinary tract infections are often initiated by indwelling catheters and bring about serious consequences, especially when they are caused by multidrug-resistant bacterial pathogens. The biofilms of uropathogens such as Enterococcus faecalis and Escherichia coli pose serious challenges.
