Reproductive biology of Mithrax forceps (A. Milne-Edwards, 1875) (Crustacea: Decapoda: Majidae)

Abstract: Recibido en febrero de 1999; aceptado en octubre de 2000 RESUMENSe estudiaron algunos aspectos reproductivos de Mithrax forceps, basados en 580 ejemplares (380 machos y 200 hembras) recolectados en Chacachacare, Isla de Margarita, Venezuela, de abril de 1984 a marzo de 1985 y de julio a noviembre de 1991. Durante todo el periodo de muestreo, el número de machos tendió a duplicar el de las hembras.
