“…In this work, since many new species and genus have been identified, and the lower part of the successions is locally highly condensed, the presented biozones are accurate but preliminary, pending on careful taxonomic revision (Giraud, Robert et al, in progress). In spite of the absence in our collected samples of many of the zonal markers, we were able to correlate the ammonite successions of the EAB with those of the Mediterranean and Tethyan regions, and thus with the standard biostratigraphic ammonite zones (Reboulet et al, 2018).
