We also thought there might be a higher clinical difference with these results, but no statistically difference was found. We agree with the Dr. Javed Ali about small sample size that may be considered as a limitation of our article.In this study, we also recommended careful selection of EL-DCR cases for nasal pathologies. Nasal pathologies may be a handicap to perform the operation and may cause failure postoperatively. 2,3 In unsuccessful EL-DCR patients, we found several nasal pathologies that may cause failure; however, major nasal pathology was not found in the unsuccessful Ex-DCR patients, which may affect the operation negatively. In particular, we emphasized the importance of nasal anatomy in EL-DCR more than Ex-DCR.As reported by Henson et al., 4 we considered that reduction of laser energy and prevention of scar or granulation tissue formation with mitomycin C application around the bone ostium would influence the success of EL-DCR positively in future. We hope, our explanations are satisfactory for the related authors. We also congratulate Dr. Javed Ali for enriching the literature.
