Reply: Efficacy of Metformin and Topiramate in Prevention and Treatment of Second-Generation Antipsychotic–Induced Weight Gain

Abstract: ± 3.35, which is considered to be within a normal range. If this study is removed, it would appear that all of the studies reviewed would support topiramate's use for attenuation and prevention of antipsychotic-induced weight gain. Indeed, we would argue that the body of clinical evidence is more consistently positive for topiramate than for metformin.
