Repetitions of fundamental research models for homeopathically prepared dilutions beyond 10-23: a bibliometric study

Abstract: We identified 24 experimental models in basic research on high homeopathic potencies, which were repeatedly investigated. 22 models were reproduced with comparable results, 6 models with different results, and repetition showed no results for 15 models. Independent reproductions with either comparable or different results were found for seven models. We encourage further repetition trials of published studies, in order to learn more about the model systems used and in order to test their repeatability.

“…This is a fairly controversial question in the literature on Gelsemium s., since most authors have investigated only a narrow range of doses or dilutions. It is also important, when dealing with elusive phenomena such as biological responses to diluted and dynamized substances, to take special care with the controls: the recent consensus recommendation among researchers in this field is for protocols that use the diluted and succussed vehicle solution as a control, however this is still a debated theme and has been done only in few cases [24,25]. …”

“…In other words, if replications of experiments, say, with Vibrio fischeri are performed using single potencies (also called simplexes), then as has been the case in previous research in homeopathy, we would expect to see evidence of the variability of outcome described by Walach et al [44] and also recently by Endler et al [51].…”

“…Making more consistent homeopathic nanomedicines with well-characterized particle properties could result in more reliable effects in both research and clinical contexts [185,186]. Integrating the insights, technical manufacturing expertise, and particle characterization procedures of modern nanotechnology with the green manufacturing approach, clinical medicine selection, and pulsed low dosing approaches of homeopathic nanomedicine could lead to major advances in the field [187].…”
