Repensando a ação terapêutica

Neste artigo f… Show more

“…It is recognized that brief psychodynamic treatments can vary between the expressive‐support poles (Dotta & Serralta, 2019; Enéas & Yoshida, 2014) and that there is greater therapist directivity in the use of interpretations, as can be seen in IS 2. In these treatments, supportive interventions are important to help the patient to establish a relationship of trust and tolerance with the therapist that is needed to fully take advantage of more interpretive interventions, which are known to be disruptive to their psychic process while creating new ways of dealing with reality (Gabbard & Westen, 2003). It should be highlighted that IS 2 correlated with time, indicating that the patient's introspection associated with doses of support and stimulation increased progressively as treatment evolved, and supposedly followed or even preceded observed changes.…”

“…Although the interpretation, the insight and the aspects of the therapeutic interaction between analyst and patient are central methods in the therapeutic action, these elements are not identifi ed as unique in the therapeutic process. Currently, psychoanalytic therapists recognize that there are multiple modes of therapeutic action that vary from patient to patient (Clarkin, Fonagy, & Gabbard, 2013;Gabbard, 2005;Gabbard & Westen, 2003). In this sense, there have been changes in the management of the psychotherapeutic technique for certain patients, especially in the treatment of patients with severe pathologies (Pasini & Dametto, 2010).…”
