Repeatability of adaptability and stability parameters of common bean in unpredictable environments

Abstract: -The objective of this work was to estimate the repeatability of adaptability and stability parameters of common bean between years, within each biennium from 2003 to 2012, in Minas Gerais state, Brazil. Grain yield data from trials of value for cultivation and use common bean were analyzed. Grain yield, ecovalence, regression coefficient, and coefficient of determination were estimated considering location and sowing season per year, within each biennium. Subsequently, a analysis of variance these estimates w… Show more

“…It should be noted that the assessment environments comprised two years, the sowing seasons in each year, and the locations. The growing conditions for common bean are often subject to many changes in crop years, locations, and seasons within the same year, as it is often reported in the literature concerning experiments conducted in Minas Gerais (Lima et al 2013, Lima et al 2014, Ferreira et al 2015).…”

Assim, espera-se, quanto a essa cultura, alta influência da interação entre genótipos e ambientes (GxA) (Ramalho et al, 2012).…”

“…Beans are cultivated under different seasons and conditions (Lima et al 2013). The growing season is divided into first (rainy season, with sowing carried out between August and December), second (dry season, from January to April) and third (winter season, from May to July) season (Moura & Brito ABSTRACT RESUMO 2015).…”
