Repair of a Posterior Alar Base Defect

Abstract: A n 85-year-old woman presented with a basal cell carcinoma on the left posterior alar base. One stage was required to achieve tumor-free margins. The resultant defect measured 1.0 3 0.9 cm and extended to include the apical triangle of the superior cutaneous lip (Figure 1). How would you reconstruct this defect? Figure 1 . Post-Mohs defect on the left posterior alar base with involvement of the superior cutaneous lip.
