“…The results reveal also that the aliskirenpentoxifylline combination decreased the levels of serum urea and creatinine significantly, our results are in agreement with the results obtained by A.T. Hamed et al [34], who investigated the renoprotective effect of aliskiren alone and in combination with pentoxifylline, in type 2-diabetic hypertensive patients with diabetic nephropathy, and have shown that an aliskiren-pentoxifylline combination (150, and 400 mg/day, respectively) significantly reduced urinary albumin excretion (UAE) rate after 6 and 9 months of treatment, and also reduced serum creatinine level throughout the study period.…”
