Renal morbidity in type 2 diabetes mellitus patients with and without non-alcoholic fatty liver disease

Abstract: Background: Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is independently associated with with prevalent as well as incident cardiovascular diseases (CVD), type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), chronic kidney disease (CKD) and Metabolic syndrome (MetS).
