Removal of Low-Level Radioactive Wastes by a Sanitary Water Treatment Process

Abstract:This report pres~nts a study of the "cleanup factors" which were obtained across a potable water treatment plant using normal treatment methods; the average gross beta radioactivity was reduced by 15% and the otrontium beta concentrations by 6%. A summary and evaluation of six mo~ths data obtained from daily field samples of the raw water supply, as well a•s the finished water product, is included.
