Abstract:In this study magnetite-pectin-chitosan (MPC) nanocomposite was synthetized using a partial reduction co-precipitation method. The structure and morphology of the material were characterized by scanning electron spectroscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectrometry (FTIR) and vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM). The adsorption of Lanthanum and Cerium ions onto MPC was studied in a batch system as a function of initial pH of solution, contact time, initial concentration and temper… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
