Removal of Congo Red Dye From Aqueous Solution Using Eco-Friendly Adsorbent of Nanosilica

Abstract: The development of a new, cheap, efficient, and ecofriendly adsorbents has become an important demand for the treatment of waste water, so nano silica is considered a good choice. A sample of nanosilica (NS) was prepared from sodium silicate as precursor and the nonionic surfactant Tween 20 as a template. The prepared sample was characterized using various characterization techniques such as FT-IR, AFM, SEM and EDX analysis. The spectrum of FTIR confirms the presence of silica in the sample, while SEM analysis… Show more

“…Moreover, the exothermic character of the adsorption process is supported by the fact that the Freundlich constant (K f ) for the adsorbent surface Kaolin decreases as the temperature under observation rises. And the adsorption process took place on surfaces that were heterogeneous and had a variety of adsorption energy sites [22]. Because of the comparatively low linear correlation coefficient at the same test temperatures, the findings in Table 2 demonstrate that the Langmuir model does not fit [23].…”

“…Materials no greater than 100 nm in size are usually contained in the nanotechnology field. The industrial, commercial, and agricultural sectors as well as the pharmaceutical and medical sciences have advanced technology, and this technology performed so swiftly [ 3 , 4 ]. Nevertheless, compared to their bulk material, their properties at the nanoscale are vastly improved [ 5 ].…”
