Bellamy et al2 included prospective and retrospective cohort studies from 1960 to December 2006; McDonald et al3 included case‐control and cohort studies of preeclampsia‐eclampsia from 1966 to January 2006 and included many of the same studies 2,3,34–54. Women with preeclampsia had a 3‐ to 4‐fold increased risk of developing hypertension, a 2‐fold risk for ischemic heart disease, and increased stroke risk compared with women without a history of preeclampsia.…”
