Remote patient triage: Shifting toward safer telehealth practice

Abstract: Telehealth is a tool used to diagnose and treat patients at a distance. Telehealth quickly became essential during the COVID-19 pandemic as a result of stay-at-home orders. Regulatory waivers encouraged the use of telehealth as an alternative to the in-person encounter to limit the spread of disease.
