Abstract:-The objective of this paper is to save electric power to detect human using a PIR sensor. We often leave the place without switching off lights, fans and Air Conditioner etc. Therefore electricity is getting wasted. Here we have done a power saving in which electricity cost will be saved by sensing the movement of people entering or by leaving out the room. If the sensor identifies that there are no persons present inside the room, then electrical appliances will be turned OFF automatically. If any person enters the room, automatically devices will be turned ON. Here we are separately controlling every electrical appliance by specifying the area. We can also vary the speed of the fan by sensing the room temperature. If the temperature is more the speed of the fan will even more. If there is no user in the room, it switches off the lights, fans, or AC with the help of interface which is in between the switchboard of appliances and PIR sensor. DC relay is also used for the turn ON and turn OFF of the electrical devices according to the output which is in the PIC controller circuit. How many appliances are turned on can also be checked through online? If anyone wants to see who are present inside the room can also be seen with their images on the cloud.

Abstract-There is a tendency to consume electrical energy simultaneously by home appliances (HAs) leading to frequent demand peaks. Nowadays the number of (HAs) in modern residences has significantly increased as compared to the past. If the power demand is not met with the limited available power supply, this could lead to major power blackout. Our smart power management system consists of smart electric sensor (SES) and power provisioning controller (PPC). The PPC and SES are used to control and maintain stability with complete power waveform behavior examination. In this paper, we focus on achieving optimal system model for smart homes to reduce the risks of power blackout by applying two different criteria of power assignment for the HAs. A comparative study has been conducted which show the drastic change in the system behavior by changing the power assignment criteria. We also carry out the stability analysis for the proposed system model of smart homes. The stability analysis verifies that the system stability is dependent on some time delay. Simulation results also help us to observe critical system behaviors such as stability and overshoot of energy waveform.Index Terms-Power provisioning controller, smart electric sensor, maximum consuming power, home appliance power derivation, power supply/demand.

Abstract-Nowadays electricity is the prime source of energy around the world for domestic and industrial applications. Our lifestyle revolves around electrical appliances and devices which make it a core necessity. However there is a shortage of this very important source of energy, especially in country like Pakistan where the overall life and building pattern is highly energy inefficient. Furthermore, energy prices soar due to different reasons; more building owners and operators are turning to energy management to reduce their overall operating costs by using efficient and reliable energy management systems and techniques. Generally this is achieved by improving the energy efficiency of building systems and energy conservation. In this paper, an active node based wireless network is proposed and implemented for energy management in a typical Pakistani environment. The proposed system is primarily based on the assumptions that most of the energy is wasted unintentionally in domestic applications and industrial processes.Index Terms-Energy efficiency, energy management, wireless sensor network.
