Remodeling of the Corneal Epithelial Scaffold for Treatment of Persistent Epithelial Defects in Diabetic Keratopathy

Abstract: Background: To develop a strategy based on surgical removal of a degenerated corneal epithelial scaffold for treatment of persistent epithelial defects (PEDs) in diabetic keratopathy.
