Remedial Sand-Control in Mature Field: Results & Lessons Learnt from through-Tubing Sand Screens Operations in the Gulf of Guinea

Abstract: The field in which took place the remedial intervention discussed in this article is located offshore West-Africa, in the gulf of Guinea. Oil is produced from unconsolidated sandstone formations of Miocene/Pliocene reservoirs. Currently, out of 360 wells drilled in the field, about 140 wells are still in production and nearly all of them are equipped with sand-control.
