Figure. SEM Analysis (Zn0.50Sn0.50O) Aim In this study, the gas sensing properties of SnO2 and Zn0.50Sn0.50O samples produced by Succession Ionic Layer Adsorption and Reaction (SILAR) method with different SILAR cycles against NO gas were investigated. Design & Methodology In this study, sensors were produced with the cheap, practical and fabricated Succession Ionic Layer Adsorption and Reaction (SILAR) method. Originality The sensors can be seen to show high responses to a relatively low NO gas concentration, such as 50 ppb. Findings For 50 ppb NO gas concentration, 3.01, 3.74% and 4.16% sensitivities were obtained for 20, 30 and 40 cycles, respectively, while for 25 ppm 18%, 20% and 34% sensitivities were obtained, respectively. Conclusion The results show that Zn doping greatly increases the response sensors. Also, Zn doping introduces some defects in the sensors, and these defects make the structure unstable and more possible to react with gas molecules.
