Religious Development in Adolescence

Abstract: Developments in early adolescence make possible new and powerful connections to religion, connections that can have far‐reaching consequences for adolescents' religious–spiritual identity, and moral development. Using two major paradigms and four major theoretical perspectives for conceptualizing religious development, this entry provides an overview of scholarship on religious development in adolescence.
