Religion in contact, Thrace

Abstract: Thracian religion remains a difficult debate, requiring a cautious examination of literary, epigraphic, and archaeological evidence. The evolving religious beliefs of Thracians, despite their internal diversity, are always considered through the prism of Greek and Roman sources and perspectives. Recent discoveries allow us to clarify the picture of the Thracian area, defined by the will of integration (in Greek or Roman manners) and the expression of a particular cultural identity.
