Reliable transfer on wireless sensor networks

Abstract: Many applications in Wireless Sensor Networks, including structure monitoring, require collecting all data without loss from nodes. End-to-end retransmission, which is used in the Internet for reliable transport, becomes very inefficient in Wireless Sensor Networks, since wireless communication, and constrained resources pose new challenges. We look at factors affecting reliability, and search for efficient combinations of the possible options. Information redundancy like retransmission, and erasure codes, can… Show more

“…For link quality estimation, we have to take many assumptions made in other environments. The losses due to obstacle sand interference, can lead to packet collisions and errors in the packets [12]. When two or more receiving stations try to attempt packet reception across any defined network, then packets collision occurs.…”

“…We know that pests are the destructive insects or others animal that attacks crops, food, livestock, etc such as grasshoppers, locusts, lacewings, moths etc. All living things made up of water Molecule so it generates heat in all living things because of frequency produced by ultrasound As a result, more heat energy is produced in insects [5]. So RF treatment is used to treat over pest without any adverse effect on food quality and production and also a loss to the farmer.…”

“…But the efficiency of Erasable Coding is low, and the decoding consumes too much energy. Sukun et al proposed a "looking table" to decrease the energy consumption of encoding/decoding when linear codes are employed [13]. However, this needs extra hardware.…”

“…In wireless sensor network, how to improve data transmission transmission reliability has become an important issue [1].In general, there are several approaches to solve this problem, e.g., ARQ [2], Hybrid ARQ [3], multi-path routing [4] and FEC [5] and so on.…”
