“…It was not possible to compare these results statistically with the published data about primary ACL reconstruction, since no meta-analysis on the subjective outcome evaluated with Lysholm score has been reported, to our knowledge. Nevertheless, considering that the results documented in the literature for primary ACL reconstruction range from 85 to 95 [22,24,45,46,73] and that a 10.1-point minimal clinically important difference was established for the Lysholm score [9], it is reasonable to conclude that primary and revision ACL reconstructions do not present a clinically significant difference for this outcome measure.
