Reliability-Oriented Design of a Solar-PV Deployments

Abstract: Increasing restrictions on the emission of greenhouse gases by the standards and the European Union’s policy aims at increasing the share of renewable energy sources in the energy mix of the Member States. Subsequently, we observe a rapid increase in the installed capacity of the renewable energy sources. Renewable energy sources are currently the fastest growing sectors of energy generation, specifically the photovoltaic sector. In 2005, the total installed capacity in photovoltaic installations in the Europe… Show more

“…Better detection accuracy can be achieved by means of more advanced methods, including artificial intelligence (AI)-based methods. For example, there are the failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA) [63,64] or the methods applying machine learning, including artificial neural network (ANN)-based methods [65,66], and deep learning [67] approaches.…”

“…As a result, Energies 2024, 17, 176 2 of 23 renewable energy sources have become increasingly central in the energy strategies of numerous nations, with Poland and Germany being no exception [4,5]. This transformation reflects a global shift towards more sustainable and environmentally responsible energy practices [6][7][8][9].…”

“…In recent years, solar energy has been widely regarded as one of the largest green energy and plays a major role in modern power system (Ndebele, 2020). Combined with the "carbon peak and carbon neutral" target proposed by China (Qian et al, 2022), it is expected that by 2030, the installed capacity of domestic PV power generation will exceed 1000 GW (Kut et al, 2021., Meanwhile, by the end of 2021, the cumulative installed solar power capacity in Germany reached 66.5 GW and is expected to exceed 100 GW by 2030. In addition, Australia's installed capacity has also reached 25.3 GW (Ali et al, 2019;Apeh et al, 2022).…”
