In general, numerous attempts with varying degrees of success have been made to model the response of simple structures such as varying shapes (circle and rectangular shock tubes) of shock tubes [11] and plates [19,20], and varying types of clamped structures [8] subjected to either a uniform or local blast and impact loads using fnite element models.
